I used to work for Schlage Lock so I already knew what the quality of the lock is, which is one of the best keypad locks on the market for it's type. I had a Schlage keypad lock at my old house that was installed several years ago that's still working. You can't beat getting rid of keys especially if you have children.
This lock was put onto the exterior door of a condo near the ocean. We have college kids, nieces, nephews, maintenance crew needing access and losing keys, so this fit the bill. The pass through feature allows the Condo Association access as required by our by-laws. Instructions to set up codes are to follow. There are many steps, so I took a picture of the instructions in case I get locked out and needed to how reset. The lock is attractive and has a good hand feel. To date the lock works great. It fit our needs for security and more importantly stopped the walk in traffic from non-authorized people completely. Much easier than using our key to get into the building.
This is too simple…I don’t want to sound to “crazy”, but seriously you guys saved us a lot of money! We contacted a local vendor to have a keyless system installed, he even mentioned the Schlage FE595 specifically and then quoted nearly $400 to have the equipment purchased and installed.
