The allure of this scalable 1-door access control system from Linear strikes at the heart of why many small businesses and facilities for so long have chosen to forego more advanced and better security. With eMerge Essential you're able to leverage your existing network infrastructure to deploy an entry-level, easy-to-use, expandable access system to control when and who can enter, and manage the entire application from any device, both locally and remotely. Backed by decades of experience, the full-featured software included with your self-contained hardware controller offers the type of programming you'd expect to find in systems for larger application. The magic is in how simple Linear makes it to get up and running and start using it. After placing eMerge on your network, open your favorite web browser, type in the web address, and follow the setup wizard. Once you connect your door reader and electric lock (strike, or maglock), you can create access levels, user schedules, and begin issuing credentials. The Linear P-300HA is commonly used to control access with cards, while the Linear IEI SSW-iLW, and Prox.Pad give you additional options. A separate power supply is required, and an optional POE module is also available. The eMerge Essential appliance includes a software license for 1-door, up-to 2 readers, and 1,000 users. Start with a front entry door, or the employee back door, and then as you need to, simply purchase an additional software key (key only / key + reader) to expand to up to 4 access points. For facilities with larger user populations, and/or the need to secure additional doors, upgrade licenses are available. You don't need to tear out what you have or purchase more controller hardware or expansion modules.
