The E-Plex standard access control software implementation kit has everything you need for trouble-free PC programming of your new Kaba E-Plex locks. The software features intuitive, graphic rich, easy-to-operate Microsoft Excel based software for managing doors, user rights, and creating authority levels. It greatly simplifies your management tasks: you can make your user access and authority level changes on your PC. If you are using a desktop PC, you'll setup your lock configuration files on your desktop computer, then download the file to your M-Unit (laptop/netbook). Next, you'll send the updates by infrared beam into the lock by positioning your PC close to the lock's sensor. You can also do your programming on your laptop/netbook to begin with, and then plug the USB infrared data adapter into the laptop's USB port, which transforms your laptop/netbook into your maintenance M-Unit. A complete audit trail reporting system is built-in to let you track down who was inside should anything ever come up missing, and to help with accountability. When you need to report on who's been entering and when, you can do so quickly by simply pointing your M-Unit at the lock's sensor to download the audit trail data.
