Extend the life of your Von Duprin surface vertical rod exit device by installing these rod and latch guards. Constructed of stainless steel, the Von Duprin RG-27 provides a heavy-duty covering over your bottom vertical rod to shield it from the impact of a medical cart, supply cart, or gurney. If your rod was to become damaged in anyway, it could jeopardize the ability of people to exit safely. With a 45° ramp, and smooth, unobstructed surface, the guard also allows doors to be easily pushed open with the bumpers of a wheelchair.
