This optional remote unlock feature is used to unlock an E-Plex lock from a remote location up to 100 feet (approximately 30 meters) from the lock. This is accomplished by installing a heavy-duty normally openpushbutton switch on the secure side of the door, for example, at a receptionist’s desk. The pushbutton switch must be wired to the two leads, extending out of the lock by means of a twisted pair wire. (26 AWG recommended)
